Welcome to Parsely. These Terms of Service govern your use of our recipe management platform.

By creating an account or using Parsely, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using our service.

1. Account Registration & Access

To use Parsely, you need to create an account. The following rules apply:

• You register using your email address via a magic link (passwordless authentication)
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• Each person may only have one personal account

2. Subscriptions & Payment

Parsely offers both free and paid subscription options:

• New users receive a 14-day trial with access to premium features
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly, depending on your choice
• All payments are processed securely via Stripe
• You can cancel your subscription at any time; access remains until the end of the billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods

3. Free vs Premium Features

Parsely distinguishes between free and premium features:

Free Plan

• View your existing saved recipes
• Create up to 3 recipe lists
• Discover and fork public recipes

Premium Plan

• Import up to 25 recipes per month
• Unlimited recipe lists
• Access to all current and future features

4. Usage Limits

To ensure fair use, the following limits apply:

• Trial: 10 recipe imports during the trial period
• Premium: 25 recipe imports per calendar month
• Free: Maximum 3 recipe lists
• Premium: Unlimited recipe lists
• Recipe import limits reset at the start of each month

5. Intellectual Property

Regarding intellectual property rights:

• Your recipes and content remain your property
• You grant Parsely a license to store, display, and process your content for service functionality
• The Parsely name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property

6. External Content

Parsely retrieves recipes from external websites:

• We use automated systems to extract recipe information from URLs you provide
• We always display the source URL of the original recipe
• We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of external recipes
• You are responsible for respecting copyright when using external content

7. Prohibited Use

The following uses of Parsely are not permitted:

• Mass creation of fake accounts or spam content
• Misuse of our systems through excessive requests
• Storing or sharing illegal content
• Attempting to disrupt or damage our service
• Automated scraping of our platform without permission
• Impersonating other users or organizations

8. Account Termination

Regarding termination of your account:

• You can delete your account at any time via settings
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms
• Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days
• You can export your recipe data before deleting your account

9. Liability

Parsely is provided "as is" with the following limitations:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Recipe imports may fail due to changes in external websites
• External recipe sources may become unavailable
• We are not responsible for third-party content or services
• Our liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the last 12 months

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time:

• Significant changes will be communicated via email
• Continued use of Parsely after changes constitutes acceptance
• We recommend reviewing these terms periodically
